BenidormFest is a music competition organized by the Spanish public broadcaster Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE). The competition is also used as a preselection for Spain's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. The competition is organized in Benidorm, at the Palau Municipal d'Esports l'Illa de Benidorm. Because of the fact that the Eurovision Song Contest is very popular within the gay community throughout Europe, the festival is also very popular in that community. During the week of the festival, they come from all over Spain to attend the selection, and there are special parties are organized throughout the city, especially in the old town Gay Bars.

The competition consists of two semi-finals and one final. The final winner is chosen by both a jury and the public. More information can be found on the official website of BenidormFest
