Since May 1, driving the tram along Costa Blanca is completely free on Sundays. Since this was instituted, more than 500 thousand travelers have used the tram on that day, which is an increase of no less than 50%. The free tram ride does not only apply to the tram along the Costa Blanca, but to the TRAM d'Alacant (province of Alicante), TRAM de Castelló (province of Castellón), and Metrovalencia (province of Valencia). The tram does not run through the center of Benidorm but makes a loop around it, one side towards Calpe and the other towards Alicante.

The Valencia metro consists of three metro lines, three tram lines, and more than 134 kilometers of track, of which about 19 kilometers are underground. The Castellón tram is actually a trolley bus that runs right through the city. There is only one line route of 8 kilometers with 19 stops.
