Batman is featured in the new comic "Batman: The World" which went on sale in September 2021; The American superhero is, among other things, seen sitting on an Osborne bull and looking out over the city in the distance.

Batman came to Benidorm thanks to the Spanish comic cartoonist Paco Roca who brings Bruce Wayne to the coastal town on Costa Blanca for a mission where the superhero has to fight some evil entity that takes more of a human side, according to the artist. Spanish comic cartoonist Paco Roca was born in Valencia.
In the comic "Batman: The World", the American superhero visits 14 countries in a 184-page comic book. DC Comics, the owner of Batman, has asked 14 comic cartoonists to come up with and draw an adventure in different countries. The prize-winning Paco Roca was chosen for Spain. Batman will also visit North America, France, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia, Poland, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil, China, Korea, and Japan.
