The "Plaza de la Senyoria" is a small square next to the "Iglesia de San Jaime y Santa Ana" and the "Plaza del Castell" at the most historical center of the city. It is a peaceful square with some small and very old apartments around it, the oldest ones in the city. It gives you a beautiful view of the underlying "Mal Pas" beach. In the center of the square is a fountain with a monument in honor of everyone who was lost at sea. The "Monumento a Los Muertos en la mar” shows two figures trying to keep each other straight in times of trouble.

On the square are also beautiful flower boxes and when the sun shines, the square lights up in sunlight all day long. Also, a pleasant experience is a staircase leading from the harbor to the square. A staircase that you should definitely take during your vacation. You will get a beautiful view over the beach and the harbor.

In the warmer seasons, there is a small evening market on the square, which specializes in handmade items. You can find more about the Les Nits del Castell crafts market here.
