The Algar waterfalls are definitely worth a visit. The waterfalls are situated in the province of Alicante and are locally called the Fonts de Algar, or Fuentes de Algar. You can find them about 20 km from Benidorm.
To be precise, the Waterfalls and the adjacent Natural Park can be found near the village of "Callosa d’en Sarría". From this place, the direction to the nature reserve is indicated with signs. It is a beautiful nature reserve that you would not expect to be able to find in such a place. There is enough parking space if you come by car and some car parks are free.

You have to pay a little entrance fee if you want to enter the park. Keep in mind that if you want to swim in the falls there can be a waiting line and the water coming from the mountains can be very cold. The water temperature is between 16 and 18 degrees all year round. There is also a restaurant next to the falls and a picnic area is also provided.
The falls are also part of many excursions offered from Benidorm, sometimes in combination with a trip to the town of Guadalest, which is located nearby. They are also accessible by public transport, for which you need to take bus 18.
